Date of discovery: XXX/VI/MCMLXIII
Place: 60 km north of Maralinga
Species: Larriq
Variety: Boson
Form: Blue, pink, green
In the same eerie spot near Maralinga, another Larriq named Boson appeared.
In its lair, the scientists found a crumpled ticket from some long-forgotten event. There was also a small pocket mirror and an open tin of black shoe polish. Boson didn’t seem particularly interested in these odds and ends, which only added to the mystery of its existence.
When the scientists examined Boson more closely, they discovered its strange but ultimately useless power: it could change the channel on any nearby TV without touching it—but only to static. Whenever Boson was nearby, televisions would flicker and turn into a snowstorm of static, complete with the annoying hiss of white noise. It didn’t matter whether it was cable, satellite, or even streaming; Boson presence would disrupt the signal and fill the screen with static.
Although this ability was intriguing, it had no practical use. Still, it added another layer of mystery to Boson, leaving researchers puzzled by the bizarre talents of these creatures and their strange effects on the world around them.
